Training a Dog (not to jump on people!) Tip:Repetition is key.

First, a Calm Environment must always be present. When your dog decides to jump,
immediately turn away and say nothing. When he or she finally relaxes and sits, Praise them.
You can give them pets or even a treat when they finally calm down. A lot of times they may
feel inclined to start jumping again, if this happens repeat from the beginning. Remain calm,
turn away and wait until they relax and sit again, then praise and treat!

This is a good routine for guests to practice as well. They need to provide a calm environment, turn away if pup jumps and praise when a sit is presented.
